In less than a year, the parisian label has built himself quite a solid reputation with previous releases of UK jazz funk sensation Resolution 88 (MR001), latin funk act Setenta (MR002) and legendary acid jazz outfit Brooklyn Funk Essentials (MR003).
Now being given an entire carte blanche by China Moses, the Mochi guys captured two original soul jazz grooves from her latest opus, "Nightintales", to bring them into new danceable territories.
"Breaking Point (Mochi Men remix)" has turned into a haunting upbeat jam, melting afro deep house influences with stunning vocals by Miss Moses and spiritual infatuated vibes, while the « Young Pulse Dub » version is irresistibly drifting toward a chamanical dance trip. In contrast comes "Disconnected (Mochi Men remix)", a pure and joyful 80's boogie funk flavored anthem, certified neck factor trigger !
